Ryan Black, 41, of Butler, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023, at his home.

Born Aug. 27, 1982, in Butler, he was the son of Connie Black.

Ryan had proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, being stationed in England, Germany and Bosnia. He worked as a tow truck operator for McGann and Chester. Ryan was an avid hunter, enjoyed camping and he was an assistant scout master for the Boy Scouts. He was also a longtime member of the Butler Township Fire Department.

Surviving are his mother, Connie Black, and her lifelong partner Donald Smeltzer, of Cabot; his loving wife, Kristi Black of Butler; sons, Chase, Matthew, Levi and Adam; one daughter, Julia; and brother, Chris Goldinger.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Archie and Joyce Black.

BLACK — Friends of Ryan Black, who died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
