Charles Blair
Charles “Charlie” Blair Jr., 80, of Butler, passed away on Monday, Sept. 25, 2023.
He was born in Salem, Pa., on April 16, 1943, to the late Charles Blair Sr. and Hazel (Shaner) Guthrie.
Charles served his country honorably in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1964. He worked as a mechanic for most of his career. He was known for helping anyone in need. Charlie spent most of his time working on someone’s vehicle, but everything would come to a halt when it came to his girls. He also liked playing cards with family and friends, fishing, hunting and bowling.
Charles was the father of Kelly (Robert) Sheppeck and Susan (William) Pint; brother of Carol Donovan; and grandfather of Meghan and Tanner, who were his world.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judith (Bowser) Blair; and his siblings Barbara Romanish, Terrence Blair and Diane Blair.
BLAIR — Family and friends of Charles “Charlie” Blair Jr., who died Monday, Sept. 25, 2023, will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial with full military honors will take place in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
