Mabel E. Denton
Mabel E. Denton, 103, of Lansdale, Pa., formerly of Butler and Philadelphia, died at 6 p.m. Jan. 5 in the Gwynedd Square Center, Lansdale.
Born April 9, 1907, in North Washington, she was the daughter of the late Henry H. Emery and Laura S. Wood Emery.
Mrs. Denton attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing in 1953. She was a licensed practical nurse at LanKenau Hospital, Philadelphia.
She was a member of the Arch Street United Methodist Church and a former member of the First United Methodist in Butler. She was a former member of the Senior Woman's Club of Butler.
Mrs. Denton is survived by two daughters, Lucille and her husband, William, S. Titus, of Syosset, Long Island, N.Y., and Dawn and her husband, William A., Sanders of Ranco Cordova, Calif.; one son, Joseph L. Denton and his wife, Margaret, of Lansdale; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Denton was preceded in death by her husband, Earl T. Denton, who passed away May 12, 1965; one son; two grandsons; two sisters; and five brothers.

North St., Butler, from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15. Services will follow at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Saturday with Pastor A. David Meneely of First Baptist Church in Kittanning officiating.
