Butler's 4th of July features baseball, concert, fireworks

Butler will be celebrating the Fourth of July with an event titled “Baseball, Bands and Boom.”

A concert and a fireworks display will follow a Butler BlueSox game, which starts at 4:05 p.m. at Pullman Park.

The BlueSox will play the Chillicothe Paints.

The Todd Jones Band, a county band from Elrama, will perform at 8 p.m. following the baseball game.

The event will conclude with the Zambelli fireworks display at 9:30 p.m.

Tickets for the event are available online at the Pullman Park box office and at locations downtown. Tickets for the game, concert and fireworks are $10. A ticket for just the concert and fireworks is $5.

The Butler Area Street Machine Association also will host a Fourth of July car show at Memorial Park from noon until 4 p.m.

An estimated 200 automobiles of all makes and models are expected to be on display.

More than 30 trophies will be given out during the event, including Best in Show for cars, trucks, and motorcycles, as well as a Mayor's Choice award.

Voting for the awards is left up to people who register their cars in the event.
