Commonwealth Clash set for Lernerville

Earnhardt Jr. to be on hand for High Limit Sprint Car race

BUFFALO TWP — The richest Sprint Car race in Lernerville Speedway history takes place Tuesday night as the High Limit Series comes to town for the annual Commonwealth Clash.

The winner of the race receives $50,000.

Former NASCAR star Dale Earnhardt Jr. will be making his first-ever appearance at a Sprint Car race. He will be on hand to “have some fun, eat some track food, meet some fans, maybe sign some autographs,” Earnhardt Jr. said on a recent podcast.

Kyle Larson leads the High Limit Series Points Standings with 756, 33 in front of Rico Abreu. Cory Eliason is a distant third with 627 points. Larson won the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup race at Lernerille on July 18.

Tickets are available at Lernerille.com with reserved seating set at $50. General admission and infield seating are available for $40.

Pit gates open at 2 p.m. The grandstands open at 4 p.m. with hot laps slated for 6:15 p.m. Opening ceremonies begin at 7:15 p.m.
