Margaret E. 'Peg' Cipra

Margaret E. “Peg” Cipra, 92, of Mars died Saturday evening at UPMC Passavant Hospital in Cranberry Township.

Born in Valencia, May 27, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Mary Ann Kummer Perry.

Surviving are three daughters, Bonnie Wiegand of Deerfield Beach, Fla., Margaret “Peg” Hanlon (William) of Mars and Becky Jo Augustine (John) of Louisville, Colo. She was the grandmother of Michael Slagel, Michelle Slagel (Michele), Mark Slagel (Lisa), Cristopher Hanlon (Linda), Brian Hanlon (Kelly), Jason Hanlon (Melissa) and Andrew and Meagan Augustine. Also 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Cipra, who she married Aug. 21, 1939, and who died Dec. 29, 2001; a brother, Merle Perry; and two sisters, Jane Smith and Esther Clark.

<B>CIPRA </B>— Friends of Margaret E. “Peg” Cipra, who died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011, will be received at the <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. James Gascoine officiating.
