Moniteau super gets 3% raise
School board approves new salary
CHERRY TWP — The Moniteau School Board Monday night approved a 3 percent raise, retroactive to Oct. 25, for Superintendent George Svolos. With the increase, his new salary is $106,090.
Svolos’ contract continues through October 2014.
“I’m appreciative of the board,” Svolos said. “They have been very supportive.”
Svolos’ initial contract was for $100,000 in 2010.
It included the possibility of pay increases ranging from 1 percent to 4 percent, based on his performance evaluation.
For his second year in the district, he declined the increase offered, allowing for a one-year salary freeze.
Last year, his third in the district, he accepted a 3-percent pay raise bringing his salary to $103,000.
