Helen Knauer

Helen G. Knauer of Butler will celebrate her 100th birthday with an open house from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Lyndora American Legion, 150 Legion Memorial Lane.

The former Helen Brookhart was born July 17, 1917, in Butler. She married the late Bertram Knauer.

She has four children, Joanne Heim of Butler, Robert B. Knauer of Butler, the late Nancy Burns of Medina, Ohio, and the late Bertram Knauer of Butler.

She also has eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Knauer worked as a tipstaff in the Butler County Court House from 1983 to 1996. She is currently employed in the Clerk of Courts office.

She is a member of Hill United Presbyterian Church in Butler and also enjoys spending time with her family.
