Cherry 50th anniversary
Peter and Mary C. Cherry of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a 50th anniversary Mass at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, and their children hosted a family vacation to the Outer Banks in North Carolina.
Cherry married the former Mary C. Killmeyer on July 1, 1967, at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
They have three children, Patrick A. Cherry of Los Angeles, Alicia L. Cherry of Springfield, Va., and Matthew J. Cherry of Butler.
They also have two grandchildren.
The Cherrys are members of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
Cherry is a retired field representative for Warner Lambert Pharmaceutical Co.
He is an active outdoorsman who enjoys fishing, hunting and landscaping. He participated in Butler Musical Theatre productions for many years.
Mrs. Cherry is a retired elementary school teacher and librarian.
She has enjoyed choral singing for more than 30 years with church and community choirs. She also is involved in ministries that serve the homebound and plans activities for children developing a foundation of Christian knowledge.
