Mary Ann Germain

Mary Ann Thomas Germain, 69, died June 26 in Debary, Fla.

Born April 30, 1936, in Lyndora, she was the daughter of Steve "Skip" and Alice Kononchuk Thomas.

She graduated from Butler High School in 1954, relocated to Orlando, Fla., and worked for Nationwide Insurance for several years. After marriage, she and her family lived in Battle Creek, Mich., for 17 years before returning to Orlando.

She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church and was active in various ministries. She also volunteered at several organizations.

Mrs. Germain is survived by her husband, Allan C. Germain; a son, Jeffery Germain of South Carolina; and a daughter, Lisa Schenkel of Georgia; two grandsons; and two step-granddaughters.

Also surviving are two sisters, Dorothy Grigaletti and Sylvia Mann; a brother, Stephen "Skip" Thomas, all of Butler; an aunt, Betty Oniefer; an uncle, Nick Kononchuk; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

GERMAIN - A memorial service for Mary Ann Thomas Germain, who died Sunday, June 26, 2005, was held July 5 at her church and inurnment was at Deltona Memorial Gardens in Orange City, Fla.Memorial donations may be made to All Saints Episcopal Church, 155 Church St., Enterprise, FL 32725.
