Donald and Mary Ann Patterson

Donald and Mary Ann Patterson of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage at a surprise dinner party, hosted by their children, for family and friends at Aubrey's Dubbs Dred Golf Course.

Patterson married the former Mary Ann Allen Aug. 26, 1967, at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

They have three children, John (Jillian) of Singapore, Jeffrey (Kerri) of Wexford and Janeen (Robert) Jaworski of Gibsonia.

They also have five grandchildren.

Patterson was a partner of Patterson Auto Parts from 1977 to 1995. He retired from Mine Safety in 2005.

Mrs. Patterson worked at Nationwide Insurance Company and retired from Butler County in 2006.

The Pattersons are members of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
