Aldona Craig

Aldona Grigaitis Craig of Valencia, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, celebrated her 106th birthday with a family dinner.

The former Aldona Casper was born Nov. 12, 1911, in Wilkes-Barre. She married the late William Craig in 1932 in Wilkes-Barre.

She has two children, Arlene Macri of State College and Patricia Schappert of Boston.

She also has four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Craig was the bookkeeper for her husband’s painting company. She was active in the Lithuanian community and participated in theater and choir groups.

She was a founding member of the Plymouth Lithuanian Cemetery Association in West Wyoming and managed the organization for more than 70 years.
