Alice E. Zang Post, 76, of Butler died Sunday.

Born Sept. 27, 1931, in Butler, she was a daughter of Clifford and Laura Petroski Zang.

She was a homemaker and was a former Cub Scout den mother and a Brownie leader.

Mrs. Post was a current member of the St. Fidelis Roman Church in Lyndora, formerly the St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Patricia) Faber of Evans City and Mrs. Robert (Kathleen) McChesney of Renfrew; a son, Jeffrey C. Post of Butler; a brother and his wife, Joseph and Jay Zang of Nashville, Mich.; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Thompson of Virginia and Mrs. Craig (Nancy) Daugherty of Butler; two brothers-in-law, Ron and Larry Post; and three grandchildren, Steve and Megan McChesney and Alyson Faber; and several nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Richard L. "Dick" Post, whom she married Sept. 19, 1950, died April 10, 2007. A son, William J. Post, died Feb. 24, 2007.

<B>POST</B> — Friends of Alice E. Zang Post who died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church in Lyndora with the Rev. George Palick officiating. Burial will follow at the Butler County Memorial Park.The Bereavement Committee of St. Fidelis will hold a parish vigil service at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.Memorial Donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society, Butler Unit, P.O.
