Edith P. McGrew
Edith P. McGrew, 94, of Center Township passed away at 11:05 p.m. Friday in the Worthington at Adams nursing home in Mars.
Born in Butler, Nov. 6, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Merritt Parker and Amy Kuntz.
Mrs. McGrew was part of the first surviving set of triplets born in Butler county.
She was married to William M. McGrew on Nov. 23, 1950, who preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 1994.
Mrs. McGrew retired in 1978 after more than 30 years with MultiServe North America, a division of Harsco Corp. (Cranberry Twp. plant), or MultiServe-Plant 16, a division of Harsco Corp. (Lyndora plant) Engineering, which is now MultiServe North America. Edith was its secretary/treasurer.
She was a member of the North Street Christian Church and served as its treasurer and also as a deaconess.
Mrs. McGrew was a life member of the Butler Country Club, a life member of Tanglewood Senior Center and a member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs.
Mrs. McGrew is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Michele Shields and her husband, Robert, of Chicora; one stepson, Timothy McGrew and his wife, Eileen, of Feeding Hills, Mass.; two grandchildren, Terry M. Shields and Lynndee C. Shields; two step-grandchildren, Paul McGrew and Elizabeth McGrew; one great-granddaughter, Ashlee Shields; three nieces; and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and seven sisters.

North St., Butler. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert C. Huber of North Street Christian Church officiating.
