Katherine Dimun

Katherine Rosalie Dimun, 79, of Lyndora passed from this life Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital after a 2-year battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was born May 4, 1930, in Butler, the daughter of the late Anthony Pett and Anna (Ordy) Pett.

Katherine was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church.

She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino.

Surviving are five daughters and their husbands, Karen and Raymond Miller of Butler, Tonilu and Curtis Craig of Butler, Jodi and Daniel Gibson of Richmond, Va., Tammi and Norman Bobby of Butler and Jackie and John Marchyshyn of Butler; six grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and a sister and her husband, Marie and Harry Stevenson of Butler.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Dimun, who died Nov. 30, 2000, and a brother, George Pett.

<B>DIMUN</B> — Friends of Katherine Rosalie Dimun, who died Monday, Oct. 5, 2009, will be received from 6 p.m. until the time of the blessing service at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>YOUNG FUNERAL HOME</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. Father George Palik will officiate. Private interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery, Butler.Contributions may be made to the Butler Public Library, 218 N.
