Samantha Snyder
Samantha Marie Snyder, 25, of Butler passed away Thursday at the Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh after a 4½-year battle with lupus.
She was born Sept. 4, 1985, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of Daniel and Susan (Soose) Snyder.
Samantha was a member of the North Main St. Church of God in Butler.
She graduated from Butler High School in 2004 and then earned her emergency medical technician certification. She was a volunteer firefighter for Greenwood Village and Lyndora.
Samantha enjoyed writing poetry, horseback riding and camping.
She was a fighter and always brought a smile to her family's faces. She will be greatly missed.
Surviving are her parents of Butler; her sister, Sarah Snyder of Butler; her paternal grandfather, Joseph Snyder of Butler; her maternal grandparents, Francis and Madeline Carol Soose of Butler; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Shirley Snyder; and her uncle, Steve Soose.

Jefferson St., Butler, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Tuesday with her pastor, the Rev. Dave Brown, officiating.
