James C. Best Jr., 38, of Butler died Saturday at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born July 25, 1972, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of Gwendolyn (Streitman) Best Main and the late James C. Best Sr.

James had volunteered for St. Vincent DePaul in Butler.

Surviving are his son, Tyler James Best of Butler; his mother and stepfather, Gwendolyn and Phillip Main of Lyndora; a sister, Naomi Best of Butler; a nephew, Adrian Best of Greenville; one aunt, Barbara Shriner of Ohio; and two uncles, Michael and William Streitman, both of Texas.

<B>Best</B> — Friends of James C. Best Jr., who died Saturday, Jan. 22. 2011, will be received at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the mausoleum chapel of Butler County Memorial Park, 380 Evans City Road, Butler. The Rev. Thomas Gillespie will officiate.
