Price 50th anniversary

Melvin and Lois Price

Melvin and Lois Price of Portersville celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family luncheon at Rose Haven in Butler.

Price married the former Lois Graves on Dec. 22, 1967, at the Church of the Nazarene in Grove City.

They have two daughters, Rebecah Price of Portersville and Deborah (Barry) Hixon of Butler.

Price is a retired industrial arts teacher. He was an educator for 40 years at Slippery Rock High School.

Mrs. Price retired from the Slippery Rock School District. She was the school nurse for the middle school and high school.

The Prices are members of the First Church of the Nazarene in Butler and Gideons International. They have been involved in mission work in several countries, and have volunteered their time and talents at Sun Valley Indian School in Arizona.

The couple travels around the world and enjoys cruises.
