7:15 p.m. Thursday — A van driven by Steven Graham, 32, of Chicora backed into a parked vehicle owned by Renee McCommons of Butler on Federal Street. Graham told police a "phantom driver" used the idling van, hitting the parked vehicle and knocking down a one-way street sign, while Graham was briefly inside a residence. Graham was cited for a hit-and-run accident.1:30 p.m. Wednesday — An unknown vehicle struck a parked vehicle owned by Jacqueline Derose of Butler on Fourth Street. Tire marks were left in a yard across the street.2:10 p.m. Dec. 15 — A vehicle owned by Bluma Bluebond, 61, struck a parked vehicle owned by Kathryn Spryn, 40, of Butler on North Main Street.
8 a.m. Dec. 16 — A car driven by Elysa Farrell, 18, of Greenville, Pa., and a vehicle driven by James Miller, 39, of Jamestown collided on East Jamestown Road in Greene Township, Mercer County. Farrell, who was wearing a seat belt, had no reported injuries. Miller and his passenger, Lori Miller, 39, also of Jamestown, were wearing seat belts and received minor injuries. Farrell was cited for driving at an unsafe speed on the icy road.2:50 p.m. Friday — A school bus driven by Shaneymay Hockenberry, 31, of Slippery Rock and a pickup truck driven by Joseph McFadden, 39, of Grove City collided on North Liberty Road in Pine Township, Mercer County. The impact between both drivers' side mirrors broke the driver's side windows of each vehicle. None of the four students on the bus were injured. Hockenberry, who was wearing a seat belt, refused treatment for a minor injury. McFadden was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.
9:55 p.m. Thursday — Nancy Hinchberger, 38, of Butler was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal conspiracy, fleeing police and three summary traffic violations following a traffic stop on Route 28 in Buffalo Township. Hinchberger was driving a vehicle with unspecified equipment violations. Her passengers, June Snyder, 42, of Sarver and Joseph Rabenstein, 48, of Mars, were charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal conspiracy. Marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a substance police believe is cocaine were found in the vehicle. State police were assisted by the Saxonburg, Buffalo and Freeport police departments.9:56 a.m. Thursday — A car driven by Anna Fischer, 81, of East Brady and a car driven by Courtney Blair, 24, also of East Brady, collided on Route 68 in Bradys Bend Township, Armstrong County. Fischer, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Armstrong Memorial Hospital by East Brady EMS for treatment of moderate injuries. Blair, who was wearing a seat belt, and her passenger, William Smith, 26, of East Brady, who was not wearing a seat belt, were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital by private vehicle for treatment of moderate injuries. East Brady Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.Dec. 18 — Diane Priester, 41, of East Brady reported the theft of a $300 engagement ring from her trailer on Iron Furnace Road in Bradys Bend Township, Armstrong County, between Dec. 17 and 18.
Dec. 20 — Bonnie Swagger of Slippery Rock Township reported the theft of a diamond ring and a set of diamond earrings, worth a total of $2,000, from her County Line Road residence between Nov. 10 and Dec. 20.Wednesday — Shannon Stunkard, 27, of Slippery Rock reported the theft of a 32-inch Sony television, a five-disc CD changer and a DVD player from her Woodmere Drive residence. Anyone with information about the theft should call state police at 724-598-2211.
