Kenneth John Kelley
Kenneth John Kelley, 95, of Franklin died at 2:45 p.m. Thursday at UPMC Northwest in Seneca surrounded by family.
Born May 1, 1912, at Two Mile Run, he was the son of Ralph and Catherine Walls Kelley.
He attended Rocky Grove School.
He worked at the Franklin Refinery until it burned on June 19, 1970. He then worked at Joy until retiring in 1977.
Kenneth was an active member of the Bethel United Methodist Church along Route 417.
He had a vocal quartet men's group that sang at many gatherings throughout the area, singing Christian praise music.
Mr. Kelley married Muriel Irene Griffen on Feb. 16, 1930, who died Nov. 28, 1995.
Surviving are three sons and their wives, Rev. Thomas and wife Alma Kelley of Karns City; Kenneth and wife Grace Kelley of Oil City; Gary and wife Louise Kelley of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Six daughters, Mrs. James (Mary Kate) Moyer, Nancy Pierce and Donna Kelley all of Rocky Grove, Karen Kelley of Seneca, Mrs. Steve (Daisy) Mallery of Hewitt, Texas, and Mrs. David (Elvira) Cline of Zanesville, Ohio; 26 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Kenneth is also survived by a brother, Ralph "Buster" Kelley of Warren, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.
Mr.Kelley was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Sanderson; two brothers, Donald Kelley and Paul Kelley; a son-in-law, Wayne E. Pierce; two grandchildren, Timothy Kelley and Susan Mallery; a great-grandchild, Morgan LaFaye Kelley, and a daughter-in-law, Maxine Kelley.
<B>KELLEY</B> — Friends and family of Kenneth John Kelley, who died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Monday in the <B>Huff Chapel</B>, 312 W. Park St., Franklin. Funeral service will follow the viewing with the Rev. Joseph Martin officiating.
