Dufford Sr.

Robert H. Dufford Sr., 70, of Evans City died Wednesday at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Born Sept. 2, 1938, in Bakerstown, he was the son of the late Clarence A. and Monica (Zarnick) Dufford.

Mr. Dufford was a member of the Butler Church of the Nazarene.

He was an independent trucker and a member of the Teamsters Local 538.

Mr. Dufford was an avid camper and fisherman, a NASCAR fan and enjoyed country and gospel music.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Wilma J. (Myers) Dufford, who he married March 16, 1957; three sons, Robert H. Dufford Jr. (Laura) of Lewistown, Arthur L. Dufford (Mary) of Macon, Ga., and Richard G. Dufford of Slippery Rock; two daughters, Monica L. Wagner (Ronald) of Renfrew and Kemberly S. Dufford and her fiancé, Timothy Himes, of Greenville, Pa.; three brothers, Clarence V. Dufford (Virginia) of Elport, Harold Dufford (Claudette) of Callery and Martin A. Dufford (Pam) of Butler; four sisters, Rose McCoy of Portersville, Betty A. Smith (Ron) of Renfrew, Bertha Dufford of Butler and Ann Slagel (John) of Callery; 17 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Wilma Jean Dufford; a granddaughter, Crystal Dufford; a brother, George Dufford; and a sister, Doris Fair.

<B>DUFFORD </B>— Friends of Robert H. Dufford Sr., who died Wednesday, June 17, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home & Cremation Services</B>, 219 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Chris Easton, his church pastor, officiating.
