The Butler County Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Elisabeth Heath-Charles, will feature Pittsburgh jazz guitarist Joe Negri at 8 p.m. Feb. 16 in the the Butler Intermediate High School auditorium, 551 Fairground Hill Road.

Negri also appears as Handyman Negri on the PBS television show “Mister Rogers Neighborhood.” Negri will perform Feb. 16 along with Brian Stahurski on bass and Tom Wendt on drums.

FRAZER TWP, Allegheny County — The night’s brightest star, moon craters and the planets Mars and Saturn will be part of the show during Wagman Winterfest, the 14th annual free winter star party sponsored by the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh.Winterfest starts with solar viewing at 4 p.m. Feb. 16 at the Nicholas E. Wagman Observatory at Deer Lakes Regional Park.Events are held weather permitting. For directions or to check weather conditions, call 724-224-2510. PENN TWP — The Heritage School at The Succop Conservancy will offer two-day workshops beginning Jan. 29.Topics will include art, blacksmithing, drawing, family history, gardening, herbs, music, native stories, painting, quilting, scrapbooking, stained glass, weaving, woodworking and writing, among others.The workshop schedule continues through April, with most workshops conducted on weekends and some offered on weekdays.The conservancy is at 185 W. PITTSBURGH — The National Aviary is conducting a program called Adopt a Tweetie for your Sweetie for Valentine’s Day.The recipient will get a photograph of the ‘adopted’ bird, a personalized certificate of adoption, a species fact sheet about the selected bird, a plush bird toy and one free adult or child’s admission.Adoption packages start at $25 for the keel-billed toucan, bleeding heart dove, flamingo and pearl-spotted owlet. HARMONY — Examples of attire worn by communal Harmony Society members when they immigrated from southwest Germany to settle Harmony in the early 1800s will be modeled at the 41st annual Harmoniefest on Feb. 16.Curator Sarah Buffington of Old Economy Village in Ambridge will narrate the fashion show. The dinner and historical program, a fundraiser to benefit the Harmony Museum, will begin at 6 p.m. in the museum’s Stewart Hall at Main and Mercer streets.Admission is $25 per person. Reservations are required, and must be received by Feb. 8.
