BRADY TWP — Slippery Rock University's Old Stone House, at the intersection of Routes 8, 528 and 173, will again host early American cooking classes starting June 7.
Most lessons will feature a bread, main course and dessert. Classes will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.
Register at least two weeks in advance. The class size limit is eight students.

CHICORA — The Chicora Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary will have its annual bake sale at Fox's Pizza Porch during the Chicora Memorial Day Parade May 26.Baked goods will be sold from 8 to 11 a.m. Drop off donations from 8 to 9:30 a.m.

CRANBERRY TWP — A minigolf fundraiser for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank will be May 31 at Cranberry Township's Fun Fore All Family Fun Center, 8 Progress Ave.The child-focused event features 18 holes of miniature golf, lunch, raffles and prizes. JEFFERSON TWP — Concordia will host its first, stand-alone fishing derby from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 31 at Saxony Farm, Addy Boy Lane, Saxonburg, for children 14 and younger.Fishing licenses are not required. However, chaperones must accompany children. Hot dogs and refreshments and prizes for the largest catch will be available.Take a fishing rod.
