BC3 will host open housesBUTLER TWP — Butler County Community College will host open houses from late March through May at each of its locations.The events will cover the different certifications, degrees and transfer credits available through the college. Campus tours and information on financial aid also will be provided.BC3 has 36 career programs, 18 transfer programs and 19 certificates.The open houses are:• 6 to 7:30 p.m. March 30 at BC3 at Lawrence Crossing• 6:30 to 8 p.m. April 6 at BC3 at LindenPointe• 6 to 8 p.m. April 13 for the main campus• 6:30 to 8 p.m. April 20 at BC3 at Armstrong• 5:30 to 7 p.m. April 25 at BC3 at Brockway• 6 to 8 p.m. May 12 at BC3 at Cranberry.The $25 application fee is waived for students who apply to the college at an open house.People can register online for an open house at www.bc3.edu/open-houses.

Buffalo firefighters conduct fund driveBUFFALO TWP. — The Buffalo Township Volunteer Fire Company is having its annual fund drive.Letters seeking donations were recently sent to all residents, property owners and businesses in the company's servicing area.If anyone in that area did not receive a donation request and wants to donate to the fire company, they can mail their donation to: Buffalo Twp. V.F.C., P.O. Box 155, Sarver, PA, 16055.
