Peter L. Mullen, 59, of Butler, passed away suddenly on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2023.

He was born on March 16,1964, in Pittsburgh, and was the son of the late Mike and Joan Fritz.

He served with the Army and was a longtime member of American Legion Post 778. He was also a volunteer firefighter for the Lyndora Fire Department. He was a jack-of-all-trades who loved watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and wore his heart on his sleeve.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Julie Mullen, whom he always called his “bride”; brother, Michael Stamerra (Sandy DeMire); sister, Jeanine (Jim) Wise; and children, Andrea, Ryan, Tiffany Mullen, Chelsea (Chaz) Combine, Amanda (Tyson) Boarts and Emma Peters. He also is survived by his grandbabies, whom he loved and cherished so much, Blaise, McKenna, Hayzen, Hendrix and GiGi Mullen, Aaliyah and Isaiah Mullen, Lillian McCarthy-Arnone, Leland and Eleanor Combine and Vincent and Isabella Boarts.

MULLEN — Family and friends of Peter L. Mullen, who died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2023, will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. and 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. A prayer service will immediately follow in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to American Legion Post 778.
