Geraldine Wampler
Geraldine I. “Jerry” Wampler, 94, of Edgewater, Fla., formerly of Butler, died at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday in the Orlando Lutheran Tower.
Born Dec. 17, 1916, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Clarence E. Carnahan and Amanda Noble Carnahan.
Mrs. Wampler was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Butler.
She was an administrative assistant at the VA Hospital in Butler, now VA Butler Healthcare, for more than 20 years.
Mrs. Wampler was a member of NARFE and AARP.
She graduated from Butler High School in June 1935 and from Regal Secretarial School in Butler in 1936.
Mrs. Wampler is survived by two sons, Thomas A. Wampler of Illinois and William G. Wampler of Orlando, Fla.; two daughters, Jacqueline Johnson of Edgewater, Fla., and Patricia Parsons of New Castle; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Nellie Kienzle and Gladys Steffler, both of Butler.
Mrs. Wampler was preceded in death by her husband, Roger E. Wampler, who passed away on July 7, 1988.
