High school juniors can apply for program HARRISBURG — The Governor's School for the Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh will open to 56 high school juniors this summer.The five-week residential program will emphasize cooperative learning and hands-on laboratory research for math and science students. The school closed in 2009 and was reopened by Gov. Tom Corbett.Successful applicants will receive free tuition, housing, meals and instructional materials.
