CRANBERRY TWP — Three people were injured in a head-on crash Tuesday night on Freedom Road near its intersection with Patriot Drive.

---- Township police said there was a report of a careless driver in the area shortly before the accident occurred at about 9 p.m.

---- The driver of one of the vehicles and passengers in the other were injured and taken to different hospitals by ambulances, police said.

---- Two adults and one child were injured, according to 911 dispatch reports. The child was taken to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, according to 911.

---- Police said the crash was still under investigation. Emergency crews were on scene for more than two hours.
