Kris Lynn Kriess, 51, of Butler, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2023, in a Pittsburgh hospital.

She was born in Butler on July 13, 1972, to William McMaster and the late Phyllis Westerman.

Kris worked in restaurants for most of her career. She loved riding a Harley-Davidson with her beloved partner, Rich Thiel and spending time with her friends. Most of all, she loved being with her family and grandson. She was loved and will be forever missed.

Along with her father, she is survived by her children, Dustin, Dakota and Dralynn Kriess; her sister, Lorie Alexander; and her grandson, Morgan. She also is survived by her father’s longtime companion, LuAnn Collins.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sonja Kummer.

KRIESS — A memorial ride for Kris Lynn Kriess, who died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2023, will be held in the near future.
