Ruth M. Batz, 82, of Middlesex Township died Saturday afternoon at the UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless Township.

Born in Pittsburgh, Oct. 1, 1925, she was the daughter of Albert and Ruth Uddstrom Blake.

Mrs. Batz had worked in the repair center at North Pittsburgh Telephone Co. for many years.

She traveled with her daughters to many dog shows across the country. She also enjoyed family excursions of antiquing and sightseeing.

Surviving are her loving daughters, Suzan and Robin Batz, both of Middlesex Township.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert N. Batz, who died Sept. 26, 1969, and by two sisters, Mildred and Roberta Blake.

<B>BATZ</B> — At the request of Ruth M. Batz, who died Saturday, March 15, 2008, there will be no calling hours. A celebration of life service will be held later in the year.
