1:02 a.m. Saturday — A small dark vehicle driven by an unknown person struck a vehicle owned by Michael Rosenbalm of Butler while it was parked on South Chestnut Street. The moving vehicle spun on the wet road before hitting the parked vehicle and leaving.1:43 p.m. Monday — Kirsten Frey, 22, of Butler was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after being arrested on an outstanding warrant. Police found two metallic crack cocaine pipes with filters and burned cocaine residue and a prescription bottle with used pieces of filters in her purse.12:45 a.m. Saturday — Marlene Somogy, 58, of Butler was cited for writing a bad $375 check on Feb. 18 to Iarrapino's Muffler & Brake Shop on Cunningham Street.7:20 p.m. Wednesday — Lennie R. Kennedy, aka Lennie Lamber, 34, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence and careless driving after a Butler Township police officer notified city police about her erratic driving.8:35 p.m. Wednesday — Wendy Barricella, 42, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence and damage to unattended property after her Jeep struck a Dumpster and a tree in the Brookside Apartments parking lot off Cunningham Street. Brandon Stone, 46, of Butler was charged with damage to unattended property and driving with a suspended license after admitting he moved the Jeep into a parking spot after the accident.
Monday — Camp Crestfield on Taggert Road in Muddycreek Township reported the theft of three gasoline containers with about 15 gallons of gasoline between 2 p.m. April 13 and 7 a.m. April 17.7:20 p.m. April 5 — Charles W. Biedenbach, 39, of Butler was charged with simple assault and harassment after allegedly striking Stacy R. Bergbigler, 31, at their Moran Road residence before allegedly throwing a glass microwave turntable at a juvenile. Biedenbach then fled. Bergbigler received minor injuries from the incident and was treated and released from Butler Memorial Hospital. Police filed charges against Biedenbach, who was arrested, arraigned by District Judge Lewis Stoughton and released on bond Wednesday.
12:10 a.m. Friday — Colin M. Boyd, 38, of New Wilmington, Pa., was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Route 208 in Springfield Township.
10:44 p.m. April 15 — Cassandra Dianne Summerill, 19, of Ellwood City was arrested on drug equipment violations after police found a syringe and several empty stamp bags of suspected heroin following a traffic stop on Route 19. A passenger in the vehicle, Gary W. Summerill, 45, also of Ellwood City, was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Westmoreland County for failure to appear in court.5 p.m. April 13 — A vehicle driven by Pamela Brown, 24, of Evans City was attempting to make a curve on Pattison Street Extension at Hartzell Road and lost control, crossed the centerline and struck a vehicle driven by Rachel Anderson-Smith, 30, of Cranberry Township. No injuries were reported. Brown was cited by police for failing to drive at safe speeds.4:49 p.m. April 13 — Vehicles driven by Heather M. Smith, 30, of Rochester, Beaver County, and Suzanne R. Pitckett, 42, of Harmony collided on Little Creek Road at the intersection with Mercer Road. Moderate damage was reported to both vehicles. Smith was cited by police for failing to obey stop and yield signs.3:11 a.m. March 29 — Police arrested Edwin C. Weingartner, 26, of Jackson Township for driving under the influence of alcohol and several traffic violations following a one-vehicle accident along Zehner School Road. Police said they received a call about a vehicle on its side in the middle of the road. Weingartner told police he had swerved to miss several deer and hit an embankment and flipped the vehicle on its side.
