Samuel Scott Weston
Samuel Scott Weston, 69, of Butler died Saturday in the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Home.
Born June 16, 1939, in St. Marys, he was the son of the late Vincent Payson and Margaret Allen Duffield Weston.
Weston was a member of First English Lutheran Church. He worked for Northstar in Zelienople and retired in June 2006. He won numerous awards as a service writer for Toyota, General Motors, Oldsmobile and Pontiac.
In high school, he was a drum major for the "Kane Cadets" of Kane High School. He also played the trumpet for the Kane High School Band.
As a young man, he worked at the Jewel Tea Co. as a regional manager. He loved to fish and was nicknamed "Oneida Sam" because he was always fishing at the Oneida Dam.
Weston is survived by two sons, Jonathan Weston of Johnsonburg and Samuel Weston of Butler; two daughters, Jacqueline Puchnick of Renfrew and Peggy Weston of Butler; seven grandchildren, Paige, Brandon, Sammy, Matthew and Luke, all of Butler, Stephanie (Weston) Forbes and her husband, Dan, of Cranberry Township, and Steven Weston and his wife, Marie, of North Carolina; a great-granddaughter, Lilly Ann Weston of North Carolina; a brother, Joseph Weston of Florida; a sister, Janice Weston-Johns of Biloxi, Miss.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Weston was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Lee Carlson Weston, who died Dec. 1, 2007; a brother, William Weston; and an aunt, Eileen (Woods) Dayton.
