Knoch's girls tennis team won four of the five matches by 6-0, 6-0 scores in shutting out Central Valley, 5-0, Wednesday in the first round of the WPIAL Class 2A team tournament.

The match was played at Seneca Valley.

The Knights (11-1) return to action in the semifinal round Monday, facing the Ellis-South Park winner.

Slippery Rock's boys dropped a tri-meet to Grove City (15-45) and Hickory 18-41).
