Bertha LaRue McCoy
Bertha LaRue McCoy, 78, of Mars died Friday afternoon at her home.
Born March 30, 1929, in McKees Rocks, she was the daughter of Ernest and Gertrude Morgan Diecks.
She attended the Community Alliance Church in Butler.
Mrs. McCoy was a homemaker and was known for her prize-winning pies, jellies and jams. She enjoyed playing cards and belonged to two card clubs. She loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, WIlliam K. McCoy, whom she married Aug. 31, 1951; two daughters, Karen Kuciak and her husband, John, of Butler, and Joyce Shoemaker and her husband, Scott, of Connoquenessing; two sons, Gary McCoy and his wife, Lori, of Butler and David McCoy of New Sewickley Township; one sister, Sarah Aubrey and her husband, the Rev. Alfred, of Greensburg; two brothers, Russell Diecks and his wife, Donna, of Beaver and Donald Diecks and his wife, Lucille, of Florida; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Ernest Diecks.
