Park United Presbyterian Church, 109 Grandview Ave., will have a 4 p.m. Sunday installation service for Pastor Jon Nelson.

Nelson began at Park United in February 2020. Originally from California, he conducted his graduate studies at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, Calif., where he received his master's and doctorate degrees.

He was ordained into the PC(USA) in December 2000 and has served churches and ministries in Michigan, Washington and Wisconsin.

Since 1997, Nelson has been married to his wife, Michelle. They have a daughter who currently attends college in Rockford, Ill.
