Rookie Vince Young led the Titans' second straight comeback last-season win, going 12-of-25 for 163 yards, and scrambling nine times for 78 yards, his biggest day rushing in the NFL.• Kansas City's Trent Green threw four touchdown passes — two to Tony Gonzalez — in a 31-28 overtime loss to Cleveland, his third start after missing eight games with a concussion. He finished 24-of-32 for 297 yards.• Chad Pennington, Jets, was 25-for-35 for 263 yards and two TDs in a 38-10 romp at Green Bay.• Tom Brady led New England past Detroit 28-21 with 304 yards passing, going 27-for-38.

Deuce McAllister, Saints, rushed for 135 yards on 27 carries.• LaDainian Tomlinson, Chargers, gained 178 yards on 28 carries and scored two touchdowns in a 24-21 win at Buffalo. Taylor has 1,098 yards.• Marcel Shipp scored on runs of 1, 6 and 9 yards and Edgerrin James had 115 yards rushing in Arizona's 34-20 victory against St. Louis. The touchdowns were Shipp's first since 2002.• Corey Dillon, Patriots, had three touchdowns, including the winning score in a 28-21 victory over Detroit.• Larry Johnson rushed for 110 yards on 28 carries, but the Chiefs fell 31-28 in overtime at Cleveland.

The TD was the 100th he has caught from Peyton Manning.• Mike Furrey, Lions, made nine catches for 123 yards and a touchdown in a 28-21 loss at New England.• Tony Gonzalez, Chiefs, caught nine passes, two for TDs, and gained 105 yards in a 31-28 overtime loss at Cleveland.• Jerricho Cotchery, Jets, gained 99 yards on nine receptions and scored twice in a 38-10 romp over Green Bay.• Matt Jones, Jaguars, made six catches for 128 yards and a score in a 24-10 win at Miami.• Torry Holt, Rams, had seven catches for 115 yards and a 15-yard touchdown reception, his first score in six games, in a 34-20 loss to the Cardinals.• Marion Barber III, Cowboys, scored two touchdowns — on 1-yard and 7-yard rushes — and finished with 76 yards on 12 rushes in Dallas' 23-20 win over the Giants. It was his team-record third punt return for a touchdown.• Rob Bironas, Titans, kicked a 60-yard field goal — the franchise's longest — with 7 seconds left for a 20-17 win over Indianapolis, one week after Tennessee tied for the NFL's second-biggest comeback in the final 10 minutes against the New York Giants. Bironas also won that game with a final-seconds field goal.• Houston Pro Bowl kick returner Jerome Mathis, who missed the first 11 games recovering from a fractured foot, provided a spark with an 87-yard return of the second-half kickoff in a 23-14 victory at Oakland. Mathis was later used as a decoy when Dexter Wynn faked a reverse on a punt return and went 58 yards.• Jeff Reed, Steelers, kicked two field goals, including a 50-yarder — the longest in an NFL game since Heinz Field opened in 2001 — in Pittsburgh's 20-3 win over Tampa Bay.
