Butler Church of the NazareneMusic for the 10:45 a.m. Sunday service at Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68, will be provided by Vonda Mishler. Children's Church will be directed by Al Martsolf. The Rev. Grant Heckman of North Huntingdon will be the guest speaker.The Nazarene Missions International service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday. The service will be directed by president Betty McIndoe. The missions study will be led by Deb Shutak.Large and small Styrofoam plates are being collected throughout June for the Hospitality Committee.

Christ Community U.M.Graduates of high school, college and technical schools will be honored at the weekend worship services at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road. Recently retired district superintendent, the Rev. Glenn Kohlhepp, will lead the services.Blood pressure screenings will follow all weekend services.The youth group will meet at 8 p.m. Friday for a movie night at Pioneer Drive-In. Bring lawn chairs and a snack to share.Volunteers are needed to assist with cleanup at the Island Playground on Saturday.The food items being collected during June for the Covenant Food Cupboard are graham crackers and saltine crackers.

Faith Fellowship AllianceAmen's Bible study and breakfast will be held from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Saturday at Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, 200 Faithway-Fared Drive. Coffee and doughnuts will be served.The Discipleland summer series for children will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesdays throughout the summer. Classes are open to children age 3 through students entering grade seven.Mahaffey Church Camp will be held July 21 through 30. Christ's outreachDebbie Price, Don Hixon and Phil Hixon will present music for the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service at Christ's Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave.COC Caravan Kids will join the Regional Caravan Roundup for a weekend of camping Friday through Sunday at the Nazarene Mount Chestnut Campground. Events will include a campfire, pinewood derby races, organized games and a puppet show. Drop off time is 5 p.m. Friday and pickup time is 1 p.m. Sunday. Participants should take appropriate clothes for the weather and sleep items for tent camping. Signed permission slips are required. For information, call the church office at 724-287-7111."Jews For Jesus" will present the Liberated Wailing Wall at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church. This is a mobile evangelistic music team that has brought Jewish gospel music with testimony and drama to churches for more than 30 years.A Family Fish Dinner will be held at 6:30 p.m. June 16. There is no cost for the dinner. Reservations are requested by contacting the church office.

Covenant PresbyThe summer worship schedule at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., will begin Sunday. Children's Church will begin at 9:45 a.m., worship at 10 a.m. and the fellowship hour will begin at 11:05 a.m. This schedule will continue through Labor Day.The food bank is requesting donations of dried beans and rice during June. Baskets for the donations are in the Jefferson Street front hallway.

Faith U.P.Faith United Presbyterian Church, 1329 N. Main St. Ext., Center Township, will remember weddings during the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service. Members will tell about their weddings and the service will include elements of the Christian marriage service.Members and friends of Faith United Presbyterian Church will meet at 6 p.m. June 15 for yard work at the church.

First BaptistFirst Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., is among congregations participating this week and next in work weeks at the Slippery Rock Baptist Camp, 130 Elliott Lane, Slippery Rock. The work session, scheduled for Monday through Saturday of both weeks, last from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Participants can work part of a day or week or stay all day or all week. Lodging and three meals a day will be provided.Teens, young men, dads and guests from the Association of Independent Baptist Church of Western Pennsylvania are invited to a day of paintball activities from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Slippery Rock Baptist Camp. The $20 fee will cover gun rental, lunch and 100 paintballs.

First English LutheranSummer worship hours begin Sunday at First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St. Services will begin at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Sundays.Appreciation Day for Pastor Jim will be held following each service on Sunday.A healing service will be held at noon Sunday.The Synod Assembly will meet June 15-17 at Thiel College.The annual Father/Son Banquet will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Hill U.P.Elders and deacons will be ordained and installed, and the handbell choir will perform at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service of Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St. The Rev. Clark Sawyer will lead both weekend services.An ice cream social will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. June 23 at the Porter home for youth entering grade five in the fall.
