12:25 a.m. Friday - A vehicle owned by Richard Lantz, no age given, of 136 Pillow St. was struck while parked in front of his house. According to a witness, a dark full-size pickup lost control coming around the corner due a high rate of speed. The truck struck a fence and some shrubs before hitting the car.11:43 p.m. Thursday - A vehicle owned by Darrell Weitzel Jr., no age given, of 210 Litman Road Apt. 6A was struck by an unknown hit-and-run driver while it was parked on South Main Street.8 p.m. Monday - Matthew S. Carothers, 22, of Renfrew was charged with robbery and theft after he physically took $50 from a 16-year old female as the two walked along South Chestnut Street.9:59 p.m. Feb. 13 - Tina L. Isadore, 37, of 116 South St. was charged with simple assault, aggravated assault and harassment after she got into a fight with her 17-year old daughter. According to the police report Isadore struck her daughter with an aluminum crutch causing a severe injury to the girl's left hand. She was taken to Allegheny General Hospital where she was treated and released.
Friday - Joseph D. Kostelansky, 49, of Butler was charged with indecent exposure and open lewdness after he turned himself in to the Butler Township Police Department.On Feb. 9 two female juveniles said a male had exposed himself to them at the Wal-Mart SuperCenter in Butler Commons as they sat on a bench in the middle of the store.On Tuesday township police were given a surveillance tape from the store. The tape was then aired on television stations Wednesday. That night Kostelansky went to the Butler Township police station and identified himself as the person in the tape. A hearing date will be scheduled later.7:22 a.m. Thursday - Three vehicles were involved in a chain reaction collision on Route 422. A 1993 Ford Explorer driven by Gregory Reefer, 35, of Shelocta was struck from behind by a 1997 Honda Accord driven by Bridgette Opalko, 46, of Ford City. Reefer appeared to be stopped at the time for an accident that had occurred in front of him when Opalko's vehicle slid on the icy road and struck his SUV.A 2000 Pontiac Grand operated by Rosanne Raymundo, 51, of Butler then struck Opalko's vehicle. Raymundo tried to stop but slid on the ice and lost control of her car.Opalko's vehicle had to be towed. There were no injuries reported.
8:55 p.m. Thursday - Jeffrey Kellner, 51, of Freeport lost control of his pickup truck on snow covered Route 28 and struck a guide rail. Kellner and his passenger were both wearing seat belts and no one was hurt.
