Jeffrey S. Swarlis
Jeffrey S. Swarlis, 40, of Penn Township died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008, at the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia in Cabot.
Born in Sewickley, Dec. 19, 1967, he was the son of the late Philip and Clara Rittelman Swarlis.
He was a department manager at Lowe's in Cranberry Township and also was a self-employed disc jockey, J&J D.J.'s, of Penn Township.
He was an avid NASCAR fan.
Mr. Swarlis was a member of Grace Community Church of Cranberry Township.
Surviving are his wife, Michele Laughery Swarlis, whom he married June 6, 1998; twin daughters, Sara and Heather Swarlis, both at home; two sisters, Mrs. Tom (Virginia) Tamasy of Ruffsdale and Mrs. Frank (Suzanne) Krpicak of Sewickley; three brothers, James and Rick Swarlis, both of Ohio, and Paul Swarlis (Theresa) of Pittsburgh; nine nieces and nephews; and a close friend, David Anthony of Ohio.
Friends were received Thursday Friday at McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, Mars. Services were Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. Information is available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
