A May 7 wedding is being planned by Melissa Miller and Kevin Thompson, both of Overland Park, Kansas.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Randy and Michele Miller of Chicora and David and Judy Blackwell of Butler. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are John and Lynn Thompson of Boyers.

The bride-elect is a 1998 graduate of Karns City High School. She works for CARSTAR Inc. in Overland Park.

Her fiancé graduated in 1995 from Moniteau High School. He works for Ironworkers Local 3, Pittsburgh.
