The American Legion Bantam Marine Detachment 743 is accepting enrollment for Toys for Tots in Butler, Armstrong, Clarion and Venango counties.Enrollment is open to families in need with children ages 14 and younger.For information, call 724-865-9852 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Friday is the enrollment deadline.
The Butler Beauty School, South Main Street, will host its annual Santa's Snippers event from noon to 5 p.m. Dec. 9.Volunteer cosmetologists from the region will offer haircuts for a donation. Proceeds will benefit the Victims Outreach Intervention Center.Refreshments will be available, and a Chinese auction will be held.
HARMONY — Historic Harmony will host its annual Candlelight Christmas fundraiser Dec. 9,The event includes a reservations-only dinner and tours of Harmony Museum buildings decorated for the holidays.The dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. in Stewart Hall. Cunningham St., will host its Christmas Granny's Attic Rummage Sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.The sale will feature clothing, furniture, dishes, toys and miscellaneous items.Donations for the sale are tax deductible and are available in the YWCA lobby.
