Thompson 50th anniversary
Jack and Barb Thompson of Grove City celebrated 50 years of marriage with a celebration in August at the Outer Banks in North Carolina.
Thompson married the former Barb Salusky on Oct. 12, 1960, at Branchton United Methodist Church.
They have three children, Susan Gorman of Reistertown, Md., Steven Thompson of Lakemore, Ohio, and Sharon Stevenson of Port Angeles, Wash.
They also have 11 grandchildren and one grandson-in-law.
Thompson is a retired actuary and retired commercial pilot. He is a member of the Society of Actuaries, Quiet Birdmen, Experimental Aircraft Association, and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.Mrs. Thompson is retired as librarian at Seneca Valley Middle School. She is a member of PSEA, the Pitt Alumni Association, the Slippery Rock Alumni Association and the Experimental Aircraft Association.The Thompsons belong to Grace United Methodist Church.
