Gary L. Renwick Sr., 62, of Butler died Saturday at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born Nov. 10, 1946, in Butler, he was a son of Eleanor J. Fitzpatrick and the late Norman J. Renwick.

He had been a truck driver for the Black and White Express Co., in Butler for 25 years until his retirement.

He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler, the American Legion Post 778 and the Slovak Club, both in Lyndora. Gary was an avid sports fan, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, boating, woodworking and pitching horseshoes.

A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served with the U.S. Army.

Surviving are his wife, Melanie A. (Varner) Renwick, whom he married Jan. 6, 1986; a son, Gary L. Renwick Jr., and his wife, Jamie, of Butler; a grandson, Jase C. Renwick; his mother of Butler; three sisters, Norma J. Savannah, Phyllis (Harold) Roudybush and Jeanie (Frank) Springer, all of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; a son, Jason M. Renwick, who died, April 9, 2005; and two brothers, James and Donald Renwick.

<B>RENWICK</B> — Friends of Gary L. Renwick Sr., who died Saturday, March 21, 2009, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St.,Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Harry Bielewicz, pastor of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, Butler Unit, P.O.
