Pritts

James E. Pritts, 80, of Prospect died Saturday morning at Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia, Cabot.

Born July 11, 1929, in Greensburg, he was the son of the late Earl T. and Lenora Cramer Pritts.

Mr. Pritts was a Lutheran.

He retired from Armco Steel, now AK Steel, after 27 years, and he also had his own farm.

A veteran of the Navy, he obtained the rank of E-5 serving in the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

He is survived by his wife, F. Lucille Rape Pritts, who he married Oct. 29, 1950; three daughters, Louise (Bill) Williamson of Jamestown, N.Y., Linda (Kirk) Hotham of Portersville and Sara (Tom) Plaisted of Slippery Rock; six sons, James (Rita) Pritts of Renfrew, Melvin Pritts of West Middlesex, Michael Pritts of Prospect and Jeff (Diane) Pritts of Prospect, David (Cindy) Pritts of Fombell, and Eugene (Sue) Pritts of Rochester, Ind.; four brothers, John (MargAnn) Pritts, William (Shirley) Pritts, Gerald (Sue) Pritts, all of Savannah, Ga., and Kenneth (Sue) Showman of New Stanton; 19 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

<B>PRITTS</B> — Friends of James E. Pritts, who died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home</B>, 328 W. Main St., Evans City. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Coval of St. John Lutheran Stone Church in Harmony.Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Connoquenessing.
