Ruth Ann Ford

Ruth Ann Ford, 61, of Carlton, French Creek Township, Mercer County, died Tuesday morning at her home.

She was born Oct. 22, 1947, in Sewickley, to Glenn George and Gertrude M. Vogel Ford.

She was a 1965 graduate of Cochranton High School. She attended Durham of Beaumont, Texas.

Ruth Ann had worked in data processing in Texas for many years and had worked at Viscose of Meadville.

She had attended Fairfield Presbyterian Church and Milledgeville Presbyterian Church.

She was a member of the former New Lebanon Grange, where she held various offices. Then she became a member of the New Vernon Grange. She also was a member of the Stoneboro Chapter 110 Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include two sisters, Gertrude "Trudy" Mooney of Cranberry Township and Mrs. Earl (Katherine "Kay") Schultz of Spring, Texas; several nieces; and a nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

<B>FORD </B>— Calling hours for Ruth Ann Ford, who died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009, will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at <B>Scott A. Black Funeral Home</B>, 99 Franklin St., Stoneboro. The funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home with the Rev. Brian Ennis, pastor of Fairfield Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Cemetery, Allegheny County.
