Joseph Buccini
Longtime resident of Butler, Joseph L. Buccini “Richard,” 83, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023, surrounded by family and dear loved ones.
Joe spent his youth in Mooseheart orphanage, where he met his former wife and the mother of his three children, Sandra Ross. He came to Butler, started a family and made a large impact over many years in the tire business. He also owned and operated a few restaurants and a pool hall for many years. As the owner of the pool hall on Main Street, Joe loved having a place for people to gather, sharing his passion for playing pool with anyone who would listen or learn. He was never too busy to help if you asked. He cared more about the people there than anything else.
He is survived by his brother, Theodore Buccini of southern Illinois; his daughter, Nancy (Scott) Fitzpatrick; his sons, Dana (Pam) Buccini and James (Jessica) Buccini; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents; multiple siblings; and two grandchildren.
BUCCINI — There will not be a public service for Joseph L. Buccini “Richard,” who died Saturday, July 1, 2023. Family and friends are planning a gathering later in the summer to celebrate Joe's life.
