2:48 a.m. July 27 - James Goldinger Jr., 23, of 104 Foster Lane was arrested for driving under the influence after his car struck a car parked on West Jefferson Street. Chris Kerry of West Jefferson Street owns the car that was hit.
2:30 p.m. Tuesday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Timothy Huff, 48, and a car driven by Mark Bodkin Jr., 17, both of Butler, collided on Route 356 near Dusty Lane in Summit Township.11:55 p.m. Monday - Domenic Stelitano, 47, of Pittsburgh was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Pittsburgh Street in Saxonburg.9 a.m. Monday - A Beaver County man wanted on a criminal warrant from New Jersey was arrested following a traffic stop on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township.Dale Staier, 26, of Aliquippa was arraigned on a fugitive from justice charge and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bond.8:43 p.m. Monday - Glanville Cooper III, 53, of Slippery Rock was arrested for driving under the influence on Route 8 in Center Township.1:55 a.m. Monday - Jessica Saeler, 22, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence on East Butler Road in East Butler.12:45 p.m. Sunday - Two people were injured in a four-vehicle crash at Routes 38 and 138 in Clay Township.The crash occurred when a car driven by Gladys Neely, no age given, of Slippery Rock struck the rear of a car driven by Ronald Wetzel, no age given, of Warren, Warren County.The collision spun Wetzel's car into the opposite lane where it struck a pickup truck driven by David Dunbar, no age given, of Butler Township and a sport utility vehicle driven by William McGee, no age given, of Jefferson Township.Neely and Wetzel, both wearing seat belts, suffered minor injuries.1:10 a.m. Sunday - A sport utility vehicle driven by William Johnson, 22, of Butler struck a utility pole along Old Route 422 in Franklin Township.12:10 a.m. Sunday - A vehicle driven by Shannon College, 18, of Pittsburgh struck an embankment along Rader School Road in Forward Township. Jenna Nicoletti, 17, of Butler, a passenger in the car, suffered minor injuries. She was wearing a seat belt.Sunday - Motorized garden equipment valued at $450 was taken between noon and 4 p.m. at the Keister Road home of Margaret Watterson in Slippery Rock Township. Police have two suspects, whom they did not identify, in the theft.3 a.m. Friday - About $33 and other undisclosed items were taken in a burglary at the Oakland Township Elementary School in Oakland Township. The break-in was made through a roof access.9:12 p.m. July 27 - Leslie Stachelek, 39, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after her motor bike nearly hit a state police cruiser at Dinnerbell and Rockdale roads in Penn Township.
5:45 p.m. Monday - A car driven by Melanie Foreman, 18, of Harrisville and a pickup truck driven by Rodney Hockenberry, 74, of Grove City collided on Route 58 at the entrance to Pine Square in Pine Township, Mercer County.The collision forced Foreman's car into a mini-van driven by Heather Clelland, 25, of Grove City. Brenda Ward, 49, of Harrisville, a passenger in the pickup, suffered minor injuries. She was wearing a seat belt.Saturday - An unknown suspect who referred to himself only as "Inspector Goodman" allegedly scammed an elderly Grove City area man out of a large amount of money.The suspect called the 74-year-old man and claimed the victim had won a sweepstakes. The caller, who identified himself as Inspector Goodman, told the man to send money to process the winnings.Police said the victim sent "several thousand dollars" to an unknown address in Canada. Authorities have determined the case to be a scam.
