Charles J. Martin
Charles Joseph Martin Sr., 63, of Westminster, Md., formally of Owings Mills, Md., died May 9 at the Carroll Hospital Center after an extended illness.
Born on Jan. 19, 1944, in Braddock, he was the son of the late John William and Elizabeth Laura McCloskey Martin.
He attended St. Ann Catholic School and was a graduate of East Brady High School. He was a retired crane operator for Bethlehem Steel Shipyard. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Glyndon, Md.
Surviving are his children and their spouses, Yvonne Lynn and Gary Gosnell of Westminster, Md., Charles Joseph Martin Jr. of Tucson, Ariz., and Paul Eric and Jennifer Martin of Richmond, Va.; a sister, Audrey Martin of Munhall; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Dolly Martin of East Brady; and Dennis and Nancy Martin of East Brady; sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and Jack Rumbaugh of Butler; a sister-in-law, Anne Martin of St. Augustine, Fla.; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and 24 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Janet, and a brother, Jack.
