LenDale White and Reggie Bush each ran for 100-plus yards for the third consecutive game, Steve Smith added seven catches for 134 yards and the Trojans piled up 724 yards in total offense on their way to their 27th consecutive victory.

ROAD TO RECOVERYBaylor won a Big 12 road game for the first time in the league's 10-year history, beating Iowa State 23-13. The Bears had been 0-37 on the road in the Big 12 and had lost 38 straight conference games overall away from home. Their last league victory on the road was a 48-7 win over SMU on Nov. 11, 1995, in the Southwest Conference.

IMPRESSED YET?D.J. Shockley, starting for the first time against a Top 10 team, led No. 5 Georgia to a 27-14 victory over No. 8 Tennessee. Shockley went 16-of-27 for 207 yards and ran 11 times for 51 yards, alleviating any fear Georgia fans had about his ability to adequately replace four-year starter David Greene.

After squandering a 21-point lead, the Red Raiders (5-0) converted two fourth downs in the last 2 minutes and handed the Huskers their first homecoming loss since 1968.

SUNKNo. 11 LSU kept Vanderbilt from its best start in 55 years, routing the Commodores 34-6. JaMarcus Russell threw for 285 yards and two touchdowns, Joseph Addai ran for 102 yards and a score, and the Tigers limited the SEC's second-best offense to 138 yards. Vanderbilt had not started 5-1 or 3-0 in the SEC since 1950.

JUST IN TIMEQuinton Porter, who missed Boston College's last two games with a sprained right ankle, was 25-for-37 for 301 yards and two touchdowns in a 28-17 win over Virginia. His return helped the No. 18 Eagles overcome three missed field goals, 111 penalty yards and the loss of their best defensive player, Mathias Kiwanuka, who was ejected in the third quarter.

The Golden Knights are the third team in the last 55 years to win three straight games one season after going winless, joining Boston College (1979) and South Carolina (2000).

BIRD FOODBrian Brohm threw for 304 yards and four touchdowns, Michael Bush ran for three scores and No. 23 Louisville routed North Carolina 69-14 - the most points allowed by the Tar Heels since a 66-0 loss to Virginia in 1912.
