Lydia L. Reeder went to be with her Lord and Savior at 3:30 p.m. Thursday from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident. She was surrounded by her family that dearly loved her and will miss her and the smile she always had.

She was a resident of Marion Township.

Born June 5, 1925, she was the daughter of Lindsey Cooke and Bertha Baker Cooke in Harrisville.

She attended Ray School, a one-room school, and Harrisville High School.

She married William Reeder Sept. 20, 1946. He preceded her in death March 22, 2005.

She worked at Five Filer Brothers in Grove City as a seamstress during World War II. She also was a cleaning lady for Bashline Hospital in the 1950s and was a homemaker.

She was a charter member of the Rocky Springs Presbyterian Church in Marion Township, where she taught Sunday school, was a member of the Woman's Missionary Society and helped with Bible school.

She enjoyed crocheting, baking, playing cards with her grandchildren and reading. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by four daughters, Linda Manross and her husband, Jerry, of Rockland, Diane McKinney and her husband, Gary, of Harrisville, Deborah Hoffman and her husband, Mark, of Harrisville, and Amy Bennett and her husband, John, of Harrisville; two sons, John Reeder and his wife, Deb, of Grove City and Russell Reeder and his wife, Abbie, of Harrisville; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Fern Buchanan and her husband, Don, of Harrisville, and Lucy McFadden and her husband, Dave, of Conroe, Texas.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson and a brother, Lloyd Cooke.

<B>REEDER</B> — Friends of Lydia L. Reeder, who died Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Jamison Funeral Home</B>, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Rocky Springs Presbyterian Church of America, where additional visitation will be held an hour before the service. The Rev. Scott L. Fleming, church minister, and Pastor Boyd D. Smith of West Unity Community Church will officiate.Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Marion Township.Memorial contributions may be made to Rock Springs Presbyterian Church, 123 Rocky Springs Road, Harrisville, PA 16038.
